Georgetown is a community located in the town of Halton Hills. It is roughly 60 kilometers west of Toronto and is part of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
Georgetown has a population of around 44,000 people. It's known for its small-town charm, scenic landscapes, and historic downtown core. The town is surrounded by the Niagara Escarpment, which provides numerous opportunities for outdoor recreation, such as hiking, cycling, and skiing.
The main street in Georgetown, known as "Main Street", is home to many shops, restaurants, and historic buildings. On Guelph Street you will find the Georgetown Marketplace (a small shopping mall). The town also has several parks, including Cedarvale Park, which features a pond, trails, and picnic areas, and Glen Williams Park, which has a playground and baseball diamond.
Georgetown is well-connected to other parts of the GTA by several major highways, including Highway 401, as well as public transit services like GO Transit.
